Our newly formed advertising department has begun their work. If you have the opportunity to speak to them on the telephone they are representing a new effort of online ad sales. We are ditching the ad networks at the request of our readers and transitioning to a low profile text advertising model. What this means is we will be selling in-article advertising at the end of a product review.
When people are interested in purchasing a product they come to our website to do some research. At the end of the article we are now selling a link that goes something like this:
“We have scoured the web for a good deal on Widget A from a reliable company and we located one here.”
We are selling them in two tiers and in exclusive and non-exclusive formats.
Tier 1 are products like Apple iPad 3, they are considerably more money because the traffic to those articles is generally measured in double digit percentages for the entire site traffic.
Tier 2 products are standard products that aren’t “Trending” in world wide mania.
